The consequences for having a third child is death.  Do you think it was fair of Luke’s parents

to have him knowing it was illegal and he would have to live his entire life in hiding? Explain.

2. The government appears to control everything the people do or don’t do.  How would you like to live in a society that is run like the one in the book?  

3. There appears to be a lot of unfairness going on in regards to some people getting special privileges and government employees breaking the laws they are suppose to be enforcing.  Do you think it happens in our society today?

      4. In order to make a difference, Luke had to sacrifice his family.  Could you sacrifice your family for something you believe in?
